Youngsters spread festive cheer

Elderly residents at a local nursing home were delighted when school children popped in to visit, with a Christmas treat.

Girls and boys from the lower school at Clifton Lodge, in Mattock Lane, Ealing visited Threen House, the local home for the elderly on Monday, to perform their Nativity Play.

The visit was a huge success, for pupils and residents alike, as Alan Gibson, Headmaster at Clifton Lodge, said:

“It gave our pupils the opportunity to learn what Christmas is really about, by giving some Christmas cheer to the residents of Threen House. It was delightful to see and hear the response of the residents to the performance of our Nativity Play.”

He added: "Clifton Lodge’s motto is ‘try always to do your best’, which really shone throughout the pupils’ performance. They really wanted to make the day special for their hosts."

Alan Hannon, the Owner of Threen House, thanked the pupils and their teachers with an array of refreshments at the end of the performance.
