Young at Heart Paul Has Key to Success

The University of Life is a valuable asset, which switched-on businesses can mine for potential success; as entrepreneur Paul Bishop can prove.

The 60-year-old businessman is one of the newest Event Directors for The Business Growth Show, and is launching events in Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire - with his first event being in Bolton on 12th July 2011. Paul feels his years of experience can help other businesses network and grow.

Paul responded to an advert for a new Franchisee, feeling his life skills were a valuable asset others would find useful.

Mr Bishop was appointed Event Director for West Yorkshire in May, and after just six weeks in the role, he saw the opportunity to take on the responsibility in Greater Manchester as well.

Paul believes that the general trend of employment is to look at age as a hindrance, as opposed to an older mind being an encyclopaedia of knowledge gained through years of experience:

“Age is irrelevant in today’s marketplace. With the wealth of experience I have, I can offer real value to small and medium-sized businesses while running The Business Growth Show in Great Manchester and the West Yorkshire area. This is an opportunity for businesses to feel their way through the current economic plight.”

Mark Linton, Managing Director of The Business Growth Show added: “Paul has previously run several companies, making him the perfect addition to The Business Growth Show Team. He has gone from one company to another, giving him the tools that are needed in order to create a strong show and business.”

Paul’s approach to business encourages companies not to sit around and wait for opportunities to come to them, but to be proactive.

The Business Growth Show was launched in 2008, growing from small networking events in the Midlands to a nationwide exhibition and networking phenomenon. The show regularly attracts hundreds of businesses, with its fast-paced speed networking sessions, expert exhibitors and inspirational seminars.

The company is now successfully running in eight regions of the UK, with three more shows being launched this year.

Mr Linton added: “Networking is the oldest trick in the book. Big or small, companies around the globe bank on networking in some shape or form for survival, whether it’s to find new clients, maximise on existing clients or even to hire new people.”

The Business Growth Show is coming to the Mercure Last Drop Village Hotel, Hospital Road, Bromley Cross, Bolton, Greater Manchester, on Tuesday July 12. Businesses are welcome to come along free of charge, to meet their peers and attend the speed- networking and seminars.
