Travel the world and keep the Midlands Air Ambulance flying

Staffordshire holiday-makers are raising money for the Midlands Air Ambulance Service by booking their trip through local firm, Passport Travel Services Ltd.

Passport Travel Services Ltd, based in Hawkesyard near Rugeley, has joined a national network of fundraising travel agents called Travel2Give. Managing Director of Passport Travel, Tracy Beer has teamed up with Stef Langford-Brown, Head of Fundraising at the Midlands Air Ambulance Service to create the Air Ambulance Travel Club.

When customers call Passport Travel to book a holiday, a percentage of the cost of their holiday automatically goes to the Midlands Air Ambulance Service – at no extra charge to the customer.

Stef Langford-Brown, Fundraising Manager at Midlands Air Ambulance says “Midlands Air Ambulance is really excited to be launching this new travel club with Passport Travel. It is a great way for people to get a fantastic holiday and support a Charity. We receive no Government or National Lottery funding and need to raise £6 Million each year. Without public donations Midlands Air Ambulance simply would not be able to continue saving lives across the region”

The system has proven popular and a good example of it in action was when Passport Travel Services Ltd recently received a phone call from a three people who wanted to go to Las Vegas. Members of the group were quoted a price, they then called back on the Air Ambulance Travel Club line, paid the same price and £163 was donated to the charity.
