TigerTurf develops 'greenest' ever lawn
We all dream of a healthy looking, green lawn and TigerTurf , the UK's largest manufacturer of synthetic turf, have just developed the ‘greenest’ ever.
‘Vision’ is the first synthetic turf product made from recycled material, making it green in every sense of the word! A lawn of 400sqm can reuse up to 9,000 plastic drinks bottles, which is the equivalent of six peoples’ yearly consumption of plastic.
Using patented technology, ‘Vision’ has been in development for three years, and is a synthetic turf that gives people the opportunity to achieve a perfectly manicured and natural-looking lawn, which requires little effort or maintenance. It can be used to create a green space that’s inviting, realistic and visually appealing, whilst being beneficial for the environment. TigerTurf prides itself on developing artificial grass to match and improve upon high quality natural turf.
“It’s really exciting to think we are the first company to take a step in the process of producing a surface that can be made from recycled materials and still deliver on all the traditional benefits of synthetic turf” says Dylan Griffiths, Product Manager from TigerTurf, who are already market leaders in providing synthetic turf for the UK sports market.
Aesthetically, ‘Vision’ has already received outstanding praise. Due to its multi-coloured appearance, containing various shades of light brown and green, it’s been hailed as a breakthrough for the industry. By using different fibres, the texture of the grass is enhanced, which makes it soft to the touch, creating a safe environment for the whole family to relax and play on.
‘Vision’ is now available from TigerTurf’s established network of installers and is responsibly manufactured in the UK by an experienced, skilled work force.
And as customers across the country enjoy the hard-wearing, realistic looking ‘green’ lawns, manufacturer TigerTurf looks set to go from strength to strength, having experienced over 30% growth last year and currently planning to expand their portfolio of products, to include a product for local governments, providing an alternative to grass for central reservations and roundabouts.
TigerTurf will be exhibiting at Grand Designs Live, at the Birmingham NEC on 8th-10th October.
