Telecoms solution goes down a Storm!

TOW BARS specialist Dereck Hancock has been ringing-up fantastic sales figures and new jobs, thanks to a savvy move which is keeping his customers “on the line.”

The owner of Just Tow, based in Nottingham, is seeing his products being snapped-up like lightning, since investing in a slick telecoms solution from Welshpool-based internet telephone company Storm.

Less than a year ago, the eBay power seller realised he was losing out to missed calls. Just Tow only had one BT line and disgruntled customers complained that it was always engaged.

But Storm provided a breakthrough and opened the door to a massive rise in incoming calls for Dereck, by installing a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) system which gave the business a three-user phone system, which runs on just its broadband connection.

Within 24 hours of its installation, Dereck spotted a surge in his incoming calls. Many more  customers could get through. Engaged tones became a thing of the past, callers were queued and passed to Dereck as soon as he became free.

In fact he became so busy, within days Dereck had to take on a homeworker, to help answer the calls. Since then he has recruited three more members of staff. And his boost in business has not only come from his eBay online sales, Dereck is selling an equal number of tow bars over the phone!

It’s a great result. Dereck is astonished at the amount of sales being generated by phone calls and Storm’s team is thrilled that he has got to grips with its products so quickly.

Dereck said: “I’ve been most impressed by how smoothly the installation has gone. I just plugged in the phones and started calling customers.

“I’ve recently needed more handsets, as more and more customers were sitting in the queue –  customers which, before I had this system, would just have hit an engaged tone!
