SIRPA offers a viable solution to chronic pain
The international launch of SIRPA Ltd provides a much-needed solution for the epidemic of chronic pain currently costing the economy over £10 billion.
The SIRPA recovery programme, based on work that has been pioneered in the US over the past 40 years, addresses the underlying emotional and stress-induced cause of chronic conditions with a non-hands-on treatment programme. The results of the treatment, developed by physiotherapist Georgie Oldfield, consistently show a 70% success rate, often in those patients for whom other treatments have proven to be ineffective.
Georgie explains: “The SIRPA recovery programme is not just about managing people’s pain, but also about eliminating it. Most of the patients who have followed the SIRPA recovery programme had suffered pain and physiological symptoms for many years, without relief using previous conventional or alternative treatments.”
SIRPA Ltd has a committed, experienced and energetic team ready to handle the training for health professionals to work in this revolutionary approach. The firm will also handle the regulation, licensing and support for this new network of health professionals.
Once trained in the technique, medical practitioners will be able to identify those patients for whom the SIRPA recovery programme offers the most effective treatment, which can then be administered by the practitioner under license from SIRPA.
The training courses have been designed, developed and successfully piloted, alongside the patient support material, which has been produced in multi-media formats and tried and tested over a three-year period.
Notes to the editor:
In the UK, there is an epidemic of chronic pain, with back pain alone costing in excess of £10.7 billion. Add to this all the other chronic pain and ill health, which is often managed and not resolved, the costs to the UK economy are astronomical and are increasing year-on-year.
