Singer sheds stone and gets his Mojo back in time for Mardi Gras
Night Trippers’ lead singer Simon Kemp will not be singing the blues anymore - at least not about his weight!
Simon has lost a stone in just six weeks. Not by going to traditional fat clubs but by attending the first online fitness management club.
Mensconfidential.co.uk helped the singer shake off the flab with healthy eating plans, easy to prepare recipes, targeted fitness programmes and motivation.
Simon said, “I gradually allowed the extra weight to creep up on me and I was feeling tired and slow. I found the food on the website simple to make and the exercises were easy to fit into my day. I now feel so much better, and I’m able to throw more energy into my performances. It has definitely given me back my mojo!”
With the Department of Health predicting that six million men will be obese this year the site is well-placed to help other British men regain their mojos and fight fat.
Members set their own goals and targets, within suggested guidelines. They then monitor their progress on a weekly basis, while receiving support and encouragement. They have the opportunity to share information and exchange ideas with other club members, or they can simply remain anonymous.
The site's creator, Jackie Nixon recognised that whilst there was a lot of provision to help women lose weight, there was very little targeted specifically at men. “With healthy eating plans, easy to prepare recipes, targeted and progressive fitness programmes, motivation and support” said Jackie, “we aim to help men pursue a healthier lifestyle, and to live longer and more active lives.
“Weight loss is achieved by controlling both food intake and by exercising. With tools to monitor progress and the ability to share hints and tips confidentially, we aim to provide men with an integrated on line solution for effective weight loss.
"We have provided a one-stop-shop for men to go to whenever it suits them - to get fit for life.”
Subscriptions are from just £2.99 a week (the cost of a pint in London) which compared to the rate of a real-life personal trainer, or even a traditional gym membership, is far greater value for money, without the added embarrassment.
