Show promises to inspire recession-hit businesses

A BUSINESS franchise that has been taking the country by storm is coming to Stoke-on-Trent.

The Business Growth Show is a day-long event built around speed-networking sessions and seminars that promise to help businesses steer a path through troubled economic times.

Kay Bevan, event director for the Staffordshire and Shropshire region, said: "The whole point of these events is that you get to meet people, raise your brand profile, and learn from others.

"Too many business shows promise the earth and fail to deliver. Our philosophy is simple: come along, make new contacts, inspire and be inspired. That's the best way to grow your business."

Delegates will also get the chance to join the Business for Breakfast (BforB) networking group, another franchise new to the Staffordshire region, which is run by local businessman and President of the Stafford Chamber of Commerce Stuart Walton.

He said: "Both the Business Growth Show and Business for Breakfast are perfect opportunities for businesses in the area to find and develop new opportunities and help the region grow strongly out of the recession into prosperity. The fact that the North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce is the Regional sponsor for the event speaks volumes.”

Ted, the BforB mascot, will be in attendance, armed with 250 chocolate lollies. You can follow Ted on Twitter - @TedTheBforBBear.
