SHARPEN UP YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA SKILLS AND BOOST YOUR BUSINESS
Are you social media savvy? Or could your business benefit from a crash course in computer-based creativity?
Two Herefordshire based companies have joined forces and organised a workshop to give local businesses a crash course in how to use social networking sites to benefit their business.
“Boost Business with Facebook and Twitter” is taking place on Wednesday 13th April at the Rural Enterprise Centre, Rotherwas, Hereford.
It is the brain-child of Graham Bayliss from Serendipity Online Marketing and Mel McGee from Hereford Media. The pair will spend two hours teaching local business people all the tools they need to make sure social media can work for their business.
Mel said: “According to a recent survey more than 90 per cent of businesses are attempting to use social media to increase their sales. However, many fall at the first hurdle as they don’t know enough about how to use the medium or just don't have the time.
“Our workshop will help local business people to get the most from their social media activity. I’m sure the attendees will see how good use of Facebook and Twitter can benefit their business.”
The workshop will be fully interactive and will include:
• What social networking sites can do for your business
• Ways to build up your followers and fans
• What kind of content will encourage comments and sharing
• Where blogging fits in and why you should be doing it
• How you can build an e mail database of prospects from your social media profiles
The event is taking place between 10am and 12pm on 13th April. For those who can’t attend, there is also an on-line ‘web-inar’ taking place on the same evening between 8pm and 9.30pm. More information can be found at http://herefordmedia.co.uk/events page.
