Retailer Shines as it Scoops Prestigious Jewellery Award
An Edinburgh-based retailer has won a prestigious award from luxury Italian jewelley manufacturer, Fope Gioielli.
The annual Fope Gioielli Retailer of the Year Award has gone to jewellery firm, Hamilton & Inches, of George Street, Edinburgh.
The award is now in its sixth year, and seeks out the retailer with the greatest growth in a 12-month period. Previous winners include Mallory of Bath, Weirs of Dublin, Charles Fox of Bournemouth, and Jacobs of Reading.
For winning this year’s award, Hamilton & Inches have scooped the prize of a weekend for two in Venice, along with a piece of Venetian glassware, and a commemorative plaque.
Mr Guiseppe Marcheluzzo, Export Manager for Fope Italy, and Mr John Coupland, Managing Director of Fope UK, recently presented the award to Stephen Paterson, Managing Director of Hamilton & Inches.
Mr Coupland said: “This award is in recognition for those who go the extra mile for Fope Gioielli. I want to congratulate everyone at Hamilton & Inches for their efforts over the last 12 months.”
“We are fortunate to have an excellent network of knowledgeable and expert retailers, and this scheme gives us a chance to celebrate the very best of our partners, whose sales demonstrate considerable growth year on year,” added Mr Coupland.
Fope has introduced two additional awards for next year. These include the ‘New Retailer of the Year’ category and the ‘Most Innovative Retailer of the Year.’
The New Retailer of the Year Award will go to the business which demonstrates exceptional sales success with Fope products in their first 12 months.
For The Most Innovative Retailer Award, those vying for the top prize will need to have shown real imagination and innovation in growing their business.
The competition is open to all Fope appointed retailers, and is running until the end of May 2012.
