Professor David Clarke MD to attend launch of SIRPA Ltd

US Professor David Clarke MD, will speak at the official launch of SIRPA Ltd on Saturday 9th October at Corpus Christi College in Cambridge.

As the only provider of health practitioner training for chronic pain in the world, Huddersfield-based SIRPA Ltd has developed a unique Recovery Programme, in order to train and regulate licensed stress illness health practitioners. The SIRPA Recovery Programme uses a revolutionary approach to provide a solution for chronic pain and medically unexplained symptoms.

The success of the SIRPA Recovery Programme for Megan (15), gives testament to the effectiveness of the new technique. Lorraine, Megan's mother said: "After three years, three MRI scans, one CT scan, four physiotherapy sessions, one consultant, one neurosurgeon, one sacroiliac injection and one pain management specialist, the cost of Megan's treatment has been over £5,500. Megan is now officially discharged with no back problem after one visit to SIRPA"

Speaking to Georgie Oldfield, developer of the treatment, Lorraine added; “I can't thank you enough. Keep doing what you're doing. I believe you can really make a difference to so many people.”

SIRPA aims to transform the quality of life for 1,000 sufferers of chronic pain over the next twelve months, and for over 7,500 sufferers by 2012. SIRPA claims that back pain currently costs the economy over £5 billion each year, whilst adolescent pain costs almost £4 billion.
