Predator's instinct aids Gurkhas

A local paintballing venue has raised over £850 for the British Gurkha Veterans Association.

Predatorsport Paintball, based in Ansty, Coventry, held a charity paintball event at their Mobbswood Farm action sport venue, raising funds from ticket sales, to help rehabilitate Gurkhas who live in the region.

To attract more visitors to raise the vital funds, Predatorsport slashed the price of its paintballs for the day of fundraising, prioritising the Gurkha cause above its profits.

Proceeds from the event, which took place on Sunday 5th December, were also used to fund the purchase of a Gurkha Standard for the British Gurkha Veterans Association.

Alex Brown, owner of Predatorsport Paintball, was delighted to be able to help such a worthy cause, saying:

“The Gurkhas have done so much for our country, it's great to be able to give a little back. We would love to hold the event again next year and look to raise more money for such a deserving group.”

The fundraiser also went down well with those enjoying a day of action at the venue, as paintballer Ian Garrat said:

“I didn’t realise fundraising could be so much fun!”

Teamwork always wins the day!
