Pinocchio Leaps Back into Life

A popular Italian restaurant in Birmingham City Centre reopens on Monday (8th), after a full refurbishment.

Pinocchio, based in Chad Square, in Harbourne, was forced to close in June, after a road accident outside resulted in a car crashing into the restaurant’s front, although thankfully, no one was injured.

Pinocchio was one of the first Italian restaurants to open in Birmingham, and has enjoyed 45 years of serving traditional Italian cuisine in the West Midlands. Alessio and Giuseppe Citro, the current owners, took over from the restaurant’s founder, Mr Novelli, when he retired two years ago.

Eagerly anticipating its reopening on Monday, the restaurant’s owners are confident that their appetite for serving up delicious food and spectacular service remain unchanged.

“We’re delighted to welcome back diners to Pinocchio’s after 45 years of serving traditional Italian cooking to Birmingham,” says the restaurant co-owner and chef, Alessio Citro.

“We hope our regular customers will be delighted to find that nothing has changed. We’ve kept our popular menu the same, and have refurbished the restaurant exactly as they will have remembered it”, added Giuseppe Citro, co-owner and waiter.

The restaurant will reopen at 7:30pm on Monday 8th August, with a grand opening party.
