One Stop for Convenience in Clacton on Sea

Residents in Clacton on Sea are celebrating the re-opening of a local convenience store.

The new One Stop store, previously a Nisa, on St. John’s Road, opened its doors last Thursday (11th), with the promise of being ‘the best for customers in the neighbourhood’. The change in ownership has also been welcome news for store’s 13 members of staff, who have all kept their jobs.

The new One Stop store is open seven days a week from 6am till 11pm. Facilities include a free-to-use cash machine, E Top-Up, National Lottery and PayPoint, making it a complete ‘one stop solution’ for local residents.

Lee Ballinger, Store Manager said:

“We’re delighted to have opened the store. Our long opening hours, coupled with fantastic daily offers will ensure we have something for everyone.

“The One Stop chain offers great value and great customer service and I am confident my team and I will be able to bring these and more to local people”, he added.

A celebratory launch took place on Saturday 13th August, when Lee Ballinger presented a donation of £200 to Jenny Miller and Jay Parrish of local care services charity, Sue Ryder. Nicholi the Clown was also on hand to entertain customers and staff with balloon modelling, juggling and pocket magic.

The One Stop store chain has an enviable retail record and operates stores across England and Wales – many of which serve the needs of small urban communities. The chain employs more than 7000 people across its operations.
