One Stop convenience stores – now open – on your doorstep!
Residents in Chester-le-Street and Birtley are now able to benefit from the re-opening of two local convenience stores, following a change in ownership.
The One Stop stores, previously run by Mills Group, on York Road, Birtley and Hilda Terrace, Chester-le-Street, opened their doors on Thursday (2nd), following extensive refurbishments.
The stores trade from 6am till 11pm, seven days a week, and offer a great range of products, from Grocery and Chilled Foods to Household, Health and Beauty and Baby. Customers are also able to benefit from fantastic offers every day.
For added convenience, both stores provide National Lottery, PayPoint, E Top-up facilities and a free-to-use cash machine, whilst the store in Birtley also houses a Post Office, making them a complete ‘one stop’ solution for local residents.
Tony Reed, CEO of One Stop, said:
“This is exciting news for One Stop. Acquiring the Mills stores in Chester-le-Street and Birtley means we can introduce One Stop’s quality, range and value to the local community.”
"We’ve made a significant investment in refurbishing the stores, creating a better shopping experience. I'm also happy to confirm that we have been able to bring down prices and delighted to be able to welcome our customers to come in and look around."
“The change in ownership is also great news for the stores’ staff, as all of the original Mills team have been able to continue in their positions in the new One Stop stores.”
