One mans challenge to the nation - Create one million videos before Mother’s Day.

If Mum is hard to buy for, then why not ditch the expensive present and make a free video to show her how much you care.

That’s the vision of electrician, and film writer Anthony Sunderland who has just the launched the Mother's Day ‘Million Video Challenge’ – a unique challenge with a goal of reaching one million video messages to Mums, posted online by Mother's Day.

Open to everyone, the challenge is calling for you to tell your Mum in your own way just how much you love her. Videos can be in any style or format, your love and affection coming across on screen is far more important than artistic merit..

Anthony was inspired by his own masculine downfall, ‘Most of us, especially us men, just don't say the words often enough 'Mum I love you.' So this is your chance to express your love in a very special way.’

‘Mother’s Day is a time when people often get flowers or mass-produced gifts. This gives them a chance to do something original. You can hide behind cards or poems, but not video – it’s so much more direct.’ He explains.

Anthony admits that his relationship with his own Mother is very good, having supported him through many of his ventures from writing films to flying gliders. In fact, his love for Mum’s is so strong that he’s created a screensaver which can be downloaded from the challenge website.
