Off The Wall charity night will thrill Michael Jackson fans

Michael Jackson fans are being invited to a “Thriller” of a charity night in Sailsbury next month.
Rock With You, at Salisbury Arts Centre on Friday 23rd Otober 2009, will feature a huge range of the King of Pop’s hits, performed by Thriller Live’s original West End musical director Asha Elfenbein and his band.

The special evening is being hosted by US star Patrick Alan, singer with The Drifters, a famous band formed in 1950’s. Patrick was a featured dancer on the set of Michael Jackson’s 'Moonwalker' and 'Love Train' with Whitney Houston. He is also a highly acclaimed vocalist and has worked closely with John Legend, Joss Stone, 2Pac, Lionel Richie, Lee Ryan of Blue and Westlife to name but a few. Also involved is Drifter’s Peter LaMarr as well as other guests to be announced soon.
Organised by the team at Event Gremlin, the evening will raise money for The Stars Appeal and their Caring For Kids campaign.
The team promises the event will be “unmissable” for any Michael Jackson fan.
Patrick Alan, who was a dancer on the set of Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker, said he was looking forward to celebrating the life of the pop star, who died in June.
“He was such an inspiration to me and so many others, but as someone who worked so closely with him and having been able to be exposed to his energy and perfection first-hand it truly changed me into a better performer and artist,” he said.
“I think the world should celebrate his life rather than mourn his death as I think that's how he would want it to be.”
Tickets for the event cost £15 or £13 concessions. For more information, visit www.theeventgremlin.com or email info@theeventgremlin.com. For tickets, telephone the Salisbury Art Centre box office on 01722 321744.
