New website marches ahead
A Lancashire company has been given the seal of approval for its latest assignment.
Thomas Cole Internet Solutions, based in Chorley, is redesigning the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (Royal Warwickshire) Museum website. Not only are they giving the site a fresh new look, they will also add an online payment page and a facility that will allow museum staff to make their own updates.
The idea was to make the website more eye-catching, user-friendly and profitable.
Museum curator Stephanie Bennett said: "A new look and a web site that we can make minor updates to ourselves is what we have been looking forward to for a while."
She added: "Thomas Cole have been a great help and we thought their imaginative streak really reflected our museum, we cannot wait for the website to be finished.”
Thomas Cole director Ross Johnson said: "We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to work with this well-known museum and help them make a return on their investment in these difficult times."
The museum tells the story of the 6th Foot (Royal Warwickshire Regiment) which was established in 1674. The story of the "Warwickshire Lads", as they became known, is told through an exciting mixture of real objects, uniforms, weapons, equipment, medals, pictures, documents and curios.
