New Venture Helps Businesses Grow Through Trust
Businesses thrive on word of mouth, and a new online platform, which launched this week (18th), is offering a way for consumers to spread the word far and wide, amongst their online friends and colleagues.
Trust Mico allows people to search for, find and recommend the businesses they like, and share their recommendations with people they know and trust, by connecting through their existing social media sites and email contacts.
The concept is designed so that not only can businesses benefit from these powerful personal endorsements, but they can also offer incentives, providing a more rewarding experience for their customers.
Alex Small, CEO and Founder of Trust Mico said: “The concept for the site came from my personal frustration with review sites. I don’t go searching for businesses that people don’t like and wouldn’t use again. What I really want to know is; which businesses do my friends recommend? That’s what drives me to purchase something.”
Unlike review sites, the recommendations only come from a positive experience that someone has had with a business, meaning that there can be no damaging or fake reviews that may harm the trust that consumers have in the site; an issue that is becoming increasingly apparent with review sites.
In addition to posting ‘Try Me’ offers – loyalty and referral schemes to reward their existing customers - businesses can also connect with other local firms, to form community loyalty schemes. Credits earned can be used to get discounts at businesses participating in the loyalty scheme, or they can be donated to charities or local causes.
All the schemes are run online via a web-enabled device, meaning there is no need for a till or plastic card, making it quick and easy for customers to take part.
Since its launch this week, Trust Mico is already winning fans in the business world. Annie Hoy, PR and Marketing Manager for Browns, which has 21 bars around the UK, said: “We see Trust Mico as providing an avenue for us to build awareness and to create a great community for our bars and restaurants.”
