New store nets jobs for Pensnett

The opening of a new convenience store last month was a welcome development for residents in Pensnett.

The new One Stop Store, on the roadside corner of Bromley and Commonside in Pensnett, Dudley, opened its doors with the promise of being ‘the best for customers in the neighbourhood’.

As well as convenient opening hours for residents, the local economy was given a welcome boost, after bosses hired 12 employees to run the new store, which will serve the densely populated surrounding area.

Melanie Sykes, Store Manager said:

“We’re delighted to have opened the store. Our long opening hours, coupled with fantastic offers on a daily basis will ensure we have something for everyone. The One Stop chain is synonymous with great customer service and I am confident my team and I will be able to bring that and more to local people.”

The new store, which is open seven days a week, from 6am until 11pm, has a free car parking area, National Lottery, E-top-up facilities, Paypoint and a free-to-use cash machine.
