New Nursery Opens in Ilford
A new children’s nursery has opened its doors for the first time, following the merger of two independent co-educational schools in Essex.
Parents, children and teachers celebrated the opening of Cranbrook Nursery in Ilford, enjoying a selection of croissants, fruit juices and hot drinks. The children were able to explore their new building, investigating its brand new equipment, toys and educational resources.
Beaming with pride, Haseena Noushad, Head of the Nursery, said:
“The children have been eagerly anticipating the opening for a while. We have a new covered area outside which was a pleasant surprise for children and parents alike.
“We are all looking forward to sunnier days to enjoy the outside. Tea parties and picnics on the lawn will be high up on our nursery agenda!” she added.
The purpose-built nursery will provide care for children aged three to four.
Its construction is part of the merger of Cranbrook and Glenarm Colleges, which have united after receiving a £4.1 million investment from parent company Cognita, moving onto a single, state-of-the-art site adjacent to the existing Cranbrook College site.
The newly merged school; ‘Cranbrook’ offers education for children aged from 3 to 16.
The students enjoy their first day in the nursery.
