New late-night coach service “from the dancefloor to your door”

LONDON workers and visitors who commute along the M1 corridor will now be able to stay out late on the weekend and enjoy the Christmas festivities, thanks to a new late-night coach service.

London-based operator, Slingshot Travel, is launching the new service on Friday 3rd December. Coaches will run every 45 minutes, every Friday and Saturday night, between 11.45pm and 7am the following morning.

Leaving from Haymarket in the heart of Piccadilly Circus (next to the Theatre Royal); the route takes each coach through Stanmore, Watford, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead and Luton - with a 3.15am extended service calling additionally at Dunstable and Milton Keynes.

With further weekend tube strikes and closures planned, and the festive season just around the corner; the service aims to provide City workers and visitors with an alternative, safe, convenient and cost-effective way of getting home from London after the trains and tubes have stopped.

Managing Director of Slingshot Travel, Atull Gupta, is delighted to be offering the new service, explaining:

“Outside of Zones 5-6, London currently has no overnight transport service, and with more people living further out of the city, there are often very few options for commuters. Night buses can be long and anti-social; tubes and trains finish too early and for many don't go far enough."

“Slingshot Travel provides a safe, comfortable and affordable solution for those not currently serviced by existing transport links during the small hours.”

Coach bookings are flexible; they can be made in advance and changed up to ten minutes before each coach leaves. The service is also much faster than that of a night bus, as only one stop is made in each town.
