New glove washes away cleaning delays
CLEANING around the household is set to become far less time-consuming, thanks to a new, all-in-one glove.
Through the combination of a waterproof latex mitten and a permanently bonded abrasive pad or sponge, ‘SuperMitt’ is designed to vastly improve its user’s productivity in a range of household cleaning tasks.
The idea for the glove came to its designer, Kenneth Imo, two years ago, as he stood scrubbing the dishes in his mother’s flat. He explains:
“It occurred to me that when you’re grasping a sponge with your fingers, this limits the available cleaning surface and puts stress on your fingers. I suddenly thought that it would be much easier and quicker if you could just use the entire of your hand to wipe the dishes clean.”
The SuperMitt’s open-handed position provides a larger cleaning surface than the traditional rubber gloves and sponge approach, allowing the user to apply pressure with their entire finger and palm area, rather than just with their fingers.
Ergonomically designed to permit long periods of comfortable activity, high-temperature resistant and durable, the new glove can be used for a variety of tasks, from office cleaning, to washing the dishes or cleaning the car.
