New Element Lights Up the Music Scene

A Birmingham-based firm, which supplies computer lighting equipment for music events, has unveiled its new, cost-effective output unit, which goes on sale later this week (27th).

Trace Lighting Ltd has announced the launch of its new, entry-level DMX output unit, the LimeLIGHT Element. The new hardware makes a quality, computerised lighting system available to those on a lower budget, such as freelancers, functions bands, DJs and students, for the first time.

The LimeLIGHT Element will allow users to harness the power of Trace Lighting’s LimeLIGHT software at a fraction of the cost of that when using the professional DX2 hardware, whilst allowing access to the full 512 channels specified by the DMX standard and two variable modes.

LimeLIGHT’s ‘Busking Mode’ is ideal for operating live events, such as club nights and band performances. This includes the easy-to-use ‘Submaster’ and ‘Subkey’ playback features of LimeLIGHT and the powerful shape generator and auto-chase functions.

‘Theatre Mode’ provides all the necessary functionality to make any production extra special. This mode includes access to LimeLIGHT’s cue list functions and the cue builder, as well as use of the command line feature.

Chris Morris, Director at Trace Lighting Ltd, said there was a real buzz of excitement from buyers to news of the imminent release of the LimeLIGHT Element.

He said: "So far, we’ve had a fantastic response from buyers. We’d almost sold the first batch before it even arrived, so we're confident it will be very well received when it’s officially launched on May 27th."

LimeLIGHT is a PC-based lighting controller, consisting of a small and reliable output unit combined with powerful, yet easy-to-use software. It is a lighting control software system, which can be run on any computer running Microsoft Windows.
