Master Chefs Raise the Steaks

A great steak is now top of the menu for diners in Cumbria, courtesy of Master Chef’s Kevin and Adrea Wyper.

The husband and wife team are hoping to get tastebuds begging for more after re-launching a weekly steak night at their popular restaurant, the Lymehurst, in Grange-over-Sands, promising food-lovers with a penchant for steaks the biggest treat ever.

For just £15 each, two diners are invited to enjoy a tender 12oz sirloin steak, cooked on the bone, to their individual tastes and sure to melt in the mouth. Each portion is served with chips, battered onion rings, juicy mushrooms and fried tomatoes.

For those that want an even bigger challenge, there is also a selection of tempting starters and delicious desserts to choose from.

The mouth-watering offer is the brainchild of The Lymehurst owners, Kevin and Andrea Wyper, who have both been crowned ‘Master Chefs of Great Britain’.

The duo, who have 23 years in the catering industry, already offer a popular bar menu giving locals a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy great food without the formality of a restaurant. Now they are hoping to bring their own inimitable flair to the re-launch of their steak nights.

Owner Kevin Wyper, said: “We used to serve a whole côte de boeuf between two, which was huge, but people couldn't have it cooked different ways, so we now serve two large steaks cooked on the bone, so they don’t shrink or toughen.
