Love is in the Air for Single Parents
An online dating agency is revolutionising the way that single parents enter new relationships, by creating a website which links like-minded parents together.
The number of single parent families is on the rise, with EU figures revealing that the UK has the most single parents of all major European countries.
It can be easy in these circumstances for single parents to feel ostracised, as working and looking after their children, leaves little time to look for new relationships.
However, a specialist online dating agency – SingleParentDatingUK – is helping to buck this trend by bringing people in the same situation together.
Nick Shread, the agency’s Managing Director, said: “Our members have made a decision to take their destiny into their own hands and find a partner that can fully appreciate what life is like as a single parent.
“We appreciate that juggling a job and family-life can be extremely difficult, but we know from the many comments we receive from our members that they are delighted that they took the positive step of becoming a member of SingleParentDatingUK.com.”
In addition to the EU figures, statistics from the UK Office for National Statistics show that British children are three times more likely to live in one-parent households than they were in 1972.
The figures also reveal that nearly a quarter of children lived with only one parent last year and nine out of 10 of those households were headed by lone mothers.
Nick Shread added, “We have a broad range of ages among our members, from 18 to 60-plus. Our aim, regardless of age, is to help members find partners who know what it's like to have the responsibility of a child – relieving some of the pressure of entering the dating world again.”
It's important for single parents to realise that there are opportunities out there for them to meet a partner that understands what they're going through and can empathise with them.
