LOCAL NEWLYWEDS WIN THE DREAM HONEYMOON THEY NEVER HAD
Newlyweds Roger and Janine Dingley are off on a honeymoon they never dreamed of, after winning the holiday of a lifetime.
The couple have won a seven-night all-inclusive cruise around the Maldives, after entering a prize draw run by the Nottingham branch of Kuoni Tavel.
Janine from West Bridgford, Nottingham, said: “I really don't know what to say. We are totally dumbfounded, but incredibly excited - It’s the romantic honeymoon we didn’t have.”
Roger and Janine married last year, but due to the cost of the wedding, the couple were unable to afford a honeymoon abroad, and so spent a rainy week in Weymouth.
Now, the couple are set to sail off on the Atoll Explorer Cruise for seven days of sun, romance and relaxation.
The Dingleys were shopping in Nottingham when flag walkers outside the Kuoni store, on Bridlesmith Gate, approached them.
On the spot prizes, such as champagne, beach bags and luxury beach towels were up for grabs, while the holiday was the first prize in the competition.
“We’d only popped into town to buy a sugar bowl! So, to come back with a luxury holiday was a complete shock,” added Roger.
Assistant Store Manager, Bryony Mason, presented the winning tickets to the couple.
“I am so happy for Roger and Janine, it really is a fairytale story. I hope they have a wonderful holiday.”
The couple will be jetting off for the Maldives on 13th November.
