Local children to sing in 02 Arena concert
Children at a school in Ilford, Essex, are to sing in one of the largest children’s concerts in the world next month.
The Cranbrook College School Choir, consisting of 12 youngsters from the school, will be performing at the Young Voices Concert at the 02 Arena in London, on 12th January, for the second year running.
The choir, led by music teacher Julie Skinner, has been working extremely hard over the past few months, in the run-up to the much-anticipated event. Julie said:
“The children are all really excited to be singing at the Young Voices Concert again this year. The last one was a huge success and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. They’ve worked really hard this year, and I couldn’t be prouder of them”.
Also amongst the line-up are celebrity singers Dionne Bromfield, Josh Osho, All Angels and Urban Strides
Each year, 2,500 schools, 90,000 children, 6,000 teachers and 120,000 friends and family members come together to enjoy music and celebrate singing at one of Young Voices’ 14 concerts held in the UK and Ireland’s leading arenas.
