Lobster apprentices secure cash for local charity

Staff from a local property lettings firm recently took part in a gruelling 24-hour charity challenge, which even Sir Alan Sugar would have been proud of.

Workers from Lobster Lettings, based in Wigan, took part in the apprentice style competition at the Holiday Inn in Preston.

The challenge saw the team compete against other business teams from across Lancashire with the aim of raising money for charity.

Claire Moffitt, Maria Fieldhouse and Louise Foster, who all have managerial roles at the company, took part on behalf of Lobster Lettings.

The team adopted the name Lobster Loonies and during the 24 hours, had to develop a product to market, and then sell with all proceeds going to charity.

The team decided to develop a brand of soap. They had to create an advert local radio station Rock FM before uploading the video to You Tube.

The final stage of the event saw them go in to Preston town centre to sell the bar of soap to members of the public.

In total the team raised £203.74 for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
