Happy Train of Thought for Outstanding Firm

Talented training staff can award themselves top marks after their efforts were rewarded with the highest industry rating.

RT Training Services has retained its 'Outstanding' grading by the British Institute of Innkeepers Awarding Body (BIIAB) after its annual review. The training provider, based in Trefforest, Pontypridd, is approved to deliver a range of hospitality, licensing and security training through the BIIAB.

Courses include training for door supervisors, which enables them to apply for their Security Industry Authority licence, and training towards the National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders, which allows business people such as publicans to sell alcohol.

RT Training Services was awarded the Grade 1, or ‘Outstanding’ accolade in 2009 and, following its 2011 monitoring visit, has retained the top level for the “quality procedures and administrative systems” which it has in place.

The company has attributed the award to its team of trainers, which delivers training to a very high standard, and the highly skilled administration team that supports the training department.

Director of Communications, Stuart Thompson said: “We are delighted that the BIIAB has found our training procedures to be of the highest standard. RT Training Services prides itself on being able to offer accredited training that enables businesses to grow and individuals to enhance their employability.”

The BIIAB is the wholly owned awarding body of BII, the professional body for the licensed retail industry. It regularly updates its qualifications, working with key stakeholders such as the police, national and local government, licensed retailers and licensing authorities.
