Green firm has the energy for a bright future
A green sector construction company has built a firm foundation for success with a well-attended launch.
Cardiff-based Norman Environmental Ltd showed homeowners and businesses how easy it is to save money – and even make money – while at the same time reducing the energy used in their homes and premises.
The launch, at Penylan Bowls Club in Cardiff, was overlooked by Norman Environmental’s first solar thermal and photo-voltaic installations. Also showcased were other products the company specialises in, including water and electrical energy saving devices, gas boiler installations and building insulation.
The event was attended by Cardiff Central MP Jenny Willott and Cardiff Council’s executive member for Sport, Leisure and Culture - Nigel Howells. Several local businesses were also in attendance, these included; Lewis Ballard Accountants, Dr Ecostein, Lloyds TSB, Veissmann gas boiler and solar PV supplies and Spiro’s Catering.
Co-Owner Liam Norman gave a presentation about rises in energy costs, available funding and the Feed In tariff, which can help clients make money. – He certainly made an impression.
Jenny Willott, formerly a parliamentary private secretary to Chris Huhne as Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, said:
“I was really impressed by Norman Environmental’s commitment to helping people reduce their energy consumption and invest in renewable technologies. We all need to change how we live and the energy we use, but it can be difficult to know where to start. We need companies like Norman Environmental to make it easy and show us how simple it can be to make a real difference.”
Councillor Nigel Howells added:
“Small, hard-working, start-up businesses like Norman Environmental are a major part of Cardiff’s economy and help make Cardiff the centre of Welsh business. The Welsh Assembly and Westminster governments must do all they can to help companies like this grow.”
The owners of this family run business were delighted with the success of their company launch.
“The launch has been a great success. We were able to explain to local businesses and homeowners what we can do to save them money and add value in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Our years of experience in contracting will allow us to provide a swift and efficient service to all our clients in a new and exciting sector of the market.” – Said Co-Owner, Stephen Norman.
Liam Norman added: “We are looking to take the lead in the local area and this launch event, with the support of Jenny and Nigel, has given us a great platform. We are here to build long-term strategies with our clients to enable them to move seamlessly into a world where gas, electricity and water are luxuries not to be squandered.”
