Gear Change Fuels Company's Drive for Cost Savings

Logistics specialist Neely Transport is hitting the road to a brighter future, after splashing out on the latest, fuel-efficient, vehicles.

It’s out with the old and in with the new for the Birmingham-based warehousing and national distribution firm, which has boosted its 20-strong fleet with the addition of three new tractor units.

News of Neely’s decision to buy the Renault Premium 460.25 6x2 units, with
“Excellence” specification, high-roof sleeper cabs, marks a change in company policy, being the first time it has bought brand new vehicles.

The new tractor units were all supplied by Allports Group, headquartered in Fradley Park, Lichfield, which has enjoyed a 20-year relationship with its valued customer.

Allports Managing Director, Mark Sanders said: “We’ve had a strong business relationship with Neely for 20 years and we are delighted that we’ve been able to provide three new Renault tractor units for them.

“Our cost-effective packages have been designed to suit all businesses’ needs and budgets, so it’s great that this has prompted Neely to switch to new vehicles for the first time.”

Neely Transport, which is based in purpose-built, 30,000sqft premises, was established in 1993, and provides specialist pallet distribution, together with a full range of storage, shipping and national distribution services.

The firm bought its new vehicles outright, benefiting from a three-year manufacturer’s warranty, driver training and a three-year service package, through Allports’ Optiserve agreement.
