Exhibition for the Blind comes to Manchester

A leading exhibition for blind and visually impaired people is heading to Manchester for the first time.

The Queen Alexandra College (QAC) Sight Village will be making its way to the Renaissance Hotel, on Blackfriars Street, on Tuesday 27th September.

QAC organises Sight Village events at venues in England and Scotland to showcase technology, support and services on offer to people who are blind or visually impaired.

They are hugely popular events, having been dubbed “the premier exhibitions for blind and partially-sighted people in the UK.”

Products from across the world are on display, and the events play host to many thousands of visitors each year, including people that are blind or partially sighted, professionals, business people and family members.

Ray Piggott, Director of Business Development at QAC, said: “For people with little or no sight, especially older people, Sight Village road shows introduce a world of possibilities that can improve quality of life through the use of modern technology.”
