Driving Down the Cost: Fleet Management Company Targets the Chamber
A thriving East Midlands based fleet management company is offering Chamber members the opportunity to take advantage of the benefits of salary sacrifice for cars with a free set up.
Fleet Evolution, based in Derby, is offering free implementation of the salary sacrifice scheme for any Midlands Chamber member employing over 100 employees until the end of 2011.
This will include policies, systems and processes, all supplied by Fleet Evolution.
The salary sacrifice car scheme is one of the hot topics in the benefits space and offers advantages for both employers and employees.
Andrew Leech, Managing Director of Fleet Evolution, said: “Many large public and private sector companies have introduced salary sacrifice car schemes with fantastic success for both employer and employee, but such schemes can take time to set up.
“By working with local businesses, we can provide a service at virtually no risk to the employer, so all Chamber members can offer this fantastic benefit to their staff,” Added Andrew Leech.
Salary sacrifice has been increasingly popular in recent years, offering employees non-cash benefits for a contractual reduction in pay.
Employers can save National Insurance by offering it and employees can save tax and National Insurance on new cars by participating in the scheme. Companies have also been using the beneficial scheme to slash CO2 emissions and meet environmental targets.
Those companies who take advantage of the salary sacrifice opportunity have seen their emissions drop, which is down to the economical technology behind new cars.
However, complicated set up, expensive fees and overuse of jargon, has made this benefit one that companies employing less than 500 employees struggle to implement.
