Defib Centre Keeps Hearts Pumping
Heart-stopping statistics show that 120,000 people die of sudden cardiac arrest in the UK every year.
The Defib Centre is putting heart and soul into reducing this staggering statistic, by raising awareness of the problem, and supplying a solution.
As the main UK distributor of HeartSine Technologies’ innovative Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs), the Defib Centre enables anyone and everyone to be a lifesaver.
Compact and easy to operate, portable AEDs bring affordable cutting-edge technology out of the hospital and into the home, workplace, sports arena and the school; all the places where rapid response to sudden cardiac arrest can mean the difference between life and death.
The Defib Centre is also the only UK business to offer low-cost online training in AED use and CPR to support its defibrillators.
The intelligent technology in the latest model enables bystanders with no formal training to effectively use an AED. The recently launched Samaritan PAD 500P features a unique CPR advisor, which differentiates HeartSine and positions it as the market leader in defibrillator technology.
This achievement has been recognised when HeartSine was recently shortlisted for the esteemed Orange Innovation Award, in the 10th annual National Business Awards, an accolade that champions pioneers in innovative products.
“This is a tremendous vote of confidence in our commitment to developing new technology, which ultimately saves lives,” said Uel McChesney, CEO of HeartSine Technologies.
“HeartSine is an impressive example of a company achieving innovation by working closely with universities to solve difficult yet vitally important problems,” commented Sherry Coutu, who sat on the shortlisting panel.
HeartSine Technologies will present before an independent, expert panel in October, before the winners are announced at an awards ceremony in November.
