Darwen Witnesses Evolution Of Business Basics
Lancashire Firm's Video Tutorials Make Management Accounting Easy
Running their own business, Terry and Sheena Frost found that straightforward explanations of some fundamental aspects of business management were thin on the ground. So, answering the call for an easier way to understand business, they created ABC Business Basics.
Based in Darwen, Lancashire, ABC Business Basics has launched a series of video tutorials covering essentials for running a small or medium enterprise (SME). Working with professional experts, ABC has produced a series of tutorials to provide exactly what the SME owner-manager needs; step-by-step instruction in what would normally be considered difficult aspects of running a business.
The first in a series of video tutorials by ABC Business Basics explains basic business accounting. Topics comprehensively explained in plain English include balance sheets, profit & loss, cashflow management and bank reconciliation. Also thrown in are some very useful ratio formulas and a glossary explaining common terms in the world of management accounts.
ABC partner, Sheena Frost, said, “We know that our product will be brilliant for any small business person who wants to understand management accounting. We have asked accountants, colleges, banks and business support organisations to make it available to the small businesses they deal with. It can even be used by schools to give students a basic understanding of running a business.”
David Roberts of Modern Marketing Magazine described ABC Business Basics as “Essential for any business owner or manager to get a grip of management accounts.”
The first tutorial is available now online and on DVD. More easy-to-follow explanations will be tackled in the coming few months and made available to subscribers.
