Coventry Cathedral Making Creative Plans for Jubilee Celebration

Coventry Cathedral has started the planning of its 2012 Jubilee celebration, which will see an abundance of exciting events taking place throughout the year, as the city comes together to commemorate the iconic landmark’s 50 year birthday.

The Golden Jubilee will bring together the city’s diverse range of individuals to enjoy the broad spectrum of events throughout 2012, as a beacon of cultural and creative excellence for Coventry and the nation. This is part of the Cathedral’s strategy, aimed at engaging people from different age ranges, ethnicities, social groups and geographic areas.

The Cathedral’s latest investment goes to the West Midlands-based marketing company, Reflection Marketing, who has won the major contract to create and develop a design for Coventry Cathedral’s Golden Jubilee celebrations.

Reflection Marketing beat off competition from six other leading agencies to design, create and print all the marketing materials for the event.

Coventry Cathedral’s Project Coordinator, Teresa Peace-Minihan said: "We recently invited a selection of marketing agencies to pitch for the creative design to support our Golden Jubilee Celebration – a landmark occasion for the cathedral. After six strong pitches we selected Reflection Marketing due to their impressive ability to understand our requirements and translate them into creative solutions, which also complement our brand. The agency is extremely proactive with an impressive response rate which makes us very optimistic for what promises to be a fruitful partnership.”
