COULD YOUR GREEN FINGERS FIND YOU TRUE LOVE?

A new website aims to bring love into the lives of environmentally conscious individuals.

www.ecolovers.co.uk launched this month (April 2011) with the aim of bringing together single people who are conscious about the environment, and looking for love.

The idea is the brainchild of Nick Shread from Maidstone, in Kent, who had the inspiration to set up the site while working on his allotment with his partner:

“About a year ago, my partner and I had secured an allotment space. I realised how welcoming the community was amongst fellow allotment holders.  Then I became aware there were a lot of single people amongst them,” explained Nick.

“These individuals often possessed an empathic nature, and were caring and considerate people. I got to thinking, it would be fantastic to help people with a love of the world around them find a like-minded partner,” Nick added.

Nick, who has experience of running a number of single parent dating sites, believes ecolovers.co.uk can play a leading role in bringing eco-dating to a wider audience.

There were a number of alternative dating sites providing dating for farmers and countryside fanatics, but ecolovers.co.uk is aimed at all levels of green enthusiasts, from household recyclers through to those fully committed to eco-friendly living.
