‘Complete Madness’ to play at Shropshire Rock Festival
Complete Madness, Andy Richards, Quill and Treacle have all been confirmed as headline acts for this year’s Hole in the Wall Concert.
The acts, which were announced on the newly launched website www.holeinthewallconcert.co.uk, join an illustrious group of past performers which include The Hollies, Suzie Quatro and Slade.
The Hole in the Wall Concert takes place each year in the rural village of Hopton Wafers in South Shropshire and is the brainchild of self confessed old rocker Chris Woodward.
Chris said: “We aim to get real crowd pleasers here each year and make it a night of fast moving rock that everyone knows and loves and don’t just think of it as a one night stand. We make a weekend of it too”
This year the concert will look to continue it’s tradition of great tribute acts such as The Counterfeit Stones and Killer Queen by confirming Complete Madness as the main feature.
However, it is not just the music that attracts a good crowd of kindred spirits. There is a brilliant campsite from which revellers can work off excess energy on a cross country walk over the beautiful Shropshire countryside.
“Campers are welcome to arrive on the Friday of the concert weekend and can stay until Sunday afternoon. There will be entertainment on the campsite and we are working on an exiting new project at the moment which will give campers something to go to on the Friday.”
All in all, Chris is looking forward to a concert which will take the blues away: “I can’t wait until the 17th July which, although quite a way off, will soon be on us. Let’s all go wild, and a little mad, in the country this year.”
It is easy to keep up to date with all the latest news on the concert by following the event on Twitter (@HoleInTheWallCo) or by becoming a fan on Facebook.
