Compass Navigates the Murky Waters of Safety
An innovative event, which promises to dispel safety myths and provide real answers for business owners, is coming to South Wales for the first time.
The inaugural Safety Compass will be held in Cardiff, after two local businesses identified a gap within the events calendar. Held in the stunning surroundings of the St Mellons Hotel, the event will include workshops and advice from experts on relevant safety issues.
Held in September, Safety Compass has been organised by Stuart Thompson, of Pontypridd-based RT Training Services Ltd, and Gerry Steinhauer of EyePat Ltd, based in Cowbridge. The entrepreneurial business minds came up with the plan after spotting a need for safety experts from all sectors to be brought together.
Stuart said: “This is an exciting opportunity to champion all of the good work that takes place every day in the field of safety. Whether on the road, at work or online, having the right safety advice is key to running a safe and successful business.”
Gerry added: “Rather than a series of talks, we have opted for a panel of experts to answer queries from the delegates. Together with practical workshops, the event will be far more interactive than your usual corporate event.”
Safety Compass will run from 9am-4.30pm on September 22. The organisers are currently sourcing additional sponsors and exhibitors.
