Coleshill School opens the door to a fresh new look
Pupils at Coleshill School would be forgiven for thinking they had gone to the wrong address when they returned from their half term break.
The comprehensive school shut its doors for Summer half term break, and just a week later had a changed its look, with a new logo and signage throughout the building and grounds.
Design consultants, The Media Collective, also based in Coleshill, created a new logo and signage for the comprehensive school, with an impressive turn around. Commissioned in May, they managed to get the signage ready just days after final sign off, and then completed before pupils returned from their Whit break.
Teresa Phipps, School Business Manager for Coleshill School, was delighted with the outcome:
“We are really pleased with the work carried out by The Media Collective.”
“The team are highly skilled, and have provided us with innovative and creative expertise to revitalise our school site. They have been a pleasure to work with and I couldn't recommend them highly enough,” added Teresa.
The Media Collective team are now set to begin the next phase of the project, working on ideas for a prospectus, newsletters and website.
The Media Collective have been working with a number of schools helping them deliver their values and identity to students, parents and the wider community. They have recently finished a redesign of the prospectus and student handbooks for Grace Academy, which has schools in Solihull, Coventry and Darlaston.
Jez Currin, Creative Director of The Media Collective said: “It's been nice to work with a school that is very local to us. Their enthusiasm and vision was a great fit with our own, and we look forward to working with them further.”
With its growing portfolio of work with schools, The Media Collective has developed a real depth of knowledge and understanding of what schools require to convey their message, whatever the medium.
