Charity Drive Helps Wishes Come True
The Motorhouse, the UK’s leading used car supermarket, is proud to announce a new charity partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK.
The Motorhouse, based on the A5, in Cannock, Staffordshire, are putting their support behind the Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK for the next 12 months.
Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. Since the charity was established in the UK in 1986, it has granted over 6,800 wishes. This year they are celebrating 25 years of granting wishes.
Steve Campbell, Marketing Manager at The Motorhouse says, “Although The Motorhouse have supported local charities throughout our 25 year history, the amazing efforts of Make-A-Wish have encouraged us to make a commitment to them for the forthcoming year. We hope to ensure that young people fighting life-threatening illnesses continue to have their wishes fulfilled.”
With over 20,000 children in the UK living with life-threatening conditions, their work is never-ending. The charity receives no government funding or lottery grants, so it relies on the generous donations.
To celebrate this partnership, The Motorhouse are holding an awareness weekend for Make-A-Wish over the August bank holiday weekend (27th – 29th August from 9am - 6pm).
Visitors to The Motorhouse over the bank holiday will be able to find out more about the fantastic work of the Make-A-Wish, and make donations should they wish to.
