Carpentry fit for a Queen

A Staffordshire carpenter whose work has been commissioned by the Queen herself is offering bespoke services as people choose to improve their properties rather than move house in the current economic climate.

Tony Dale, director of Stafford-based Wood Creations said that the recession had changed the way people viewed their homes, and he and his team were being called upon to create kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes and lay wooden flooring as home-owners chose to stay put and upgrade instead of sell up and move on.

Tony said: "Everyone knows that its features like new kitchens, bathrooms and fitted wardrobes add value to a property, but rather than people just doing it to help them sell their home more quickly, they're now doing it because they want to improve the home they live in, to make life more comfortable.

"People like the fact that Wood Creations spends time with customers to understand what they want, suggest designs and arrange everything for them.

"While we do specialise in new kitchens and bathrooms,  we can also provide fitted wardrobes, lay wooden flooring and new staircases, hang doors and carry out joinery work," said Tony.

"With the kitchens and bathrooms, our service includes plumbing, electrical, joinery, plastering, tiling, decorating and even knocking out walls if required, to ensure that the customer has a one-stop-service to get the job done and a workforce that operates as a team.
