Business for Breakfast set for Colchester Debut
Top networking event Business for Breakfast is coming to Colchester, with local business owners able to get their first taste on the 11th of May at the town’s Ramada Hotel from 6.45am to 8.30am.
Business for Breakfast is the brainchild of British entrepreneur John Fisher and has proven to be a highly successful business model since it first launched seven years ago. There is now a network of 33 Regional Franchise Directors in place across the UK, as well as seven active forums in the Czech Republic.
The aim of Business for Breakfast is to enable companies to connect with one another and local businesswoman Lesley Jarrad, who has taken on the Colchester franchise, is looking to build a community of Colchester-based business people into an effective and informative referral network.
After working as a franchising consultant, Lesley found herself drawn to the Business for Breakfast format: “I’ve been helping people who want to be self-employed become business owners through franchising,” she explains, “to do this productively I had to network a lot and built up a very strong contact base as a result. This helped me evaluate Business for Breakfast as the perfect opportunity to enable others to do the same as it has thousands of companies, both large and small, as members and they are generating hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of new sales and savings to their business. I went to several events elsewhere in the country and was very impressed with them – they give local businesses the chance to connect and work together, something that is vital, especially in the current economic climate. The meetings are friendly and informal but at the same time offer people a fantastic opportunity to grow their companies and develop business contacts that they know, like and trust. It’s an extremely cost-effective way of getting your message across and marketing your services to like-minded people”
