Business for Breakfast serves up to 100th client
A unique network of business leaders in Staffordshire is celebrating after welcoming its 100th member.
Business for Breakfast, a UK business referral network, aims to help members grow their company through forging new relationships and passing on quality referrals between members.
The Staffordshire franchise was established in April 2010, with his first group based in Stoke-on-Trent. Just 12 month later, the network has reached this major milestone.
Now, there are seven groups in the county, with the company recently launching a Ladies Only Lunch – a landmark move away from the networks traditional breakfast only meetings.
Crucially, Business for Breakfast, only allows one member from each industry sector to join a forum, meaning those quick enough to join lock out their competition, allowing businesses to cash in on referrals.
The network has proved a popular amongst its members:
“I joined BforB in October 2010 and it's proved to be a great move for my business. Our Group has been one of the fastest growing and the level of commitment shown by my fellow members is second to none.” – accounts Caroline Law, founder of Caroline Law Consulting.
“Not only can you see the physical exchange of business opportunities and transactions but the bond between members is heart warming. There's a genuine feeling that everyone is in support of each other and the referrals that I have gained outside of the group have been equally positive.” Caroline added.
Stuart Walton, Business for Breakfast Regional Director, established the Staffordshire network. Mr Walton - a trained chartered accountant, who has previously worked for Rolls Royce, Eurotunnel, and AREVA T&D – wanted to help people build sustainable businesses in the county.
Mr Walton, currently President of the Stafford Chamber of Commerce, is delighted at the success of the Staffordshire network:
“I’m thrilled that BforB is going from strength to strength. The network is making a real difference to men and women in the local business community by helping them get new business through quality referrals. Our next milestone is reaching 200 members – something I’m sure we’ll achieve.”
