Business boost for leading networking franchise
One of the UK’s leading and most successful networking organisations says the economic fortunes of businesses are on the up after it showed a significant increase in growth over the last month.
Networking franchise group Business For Breakfast (BforB) says its latest figures prove that businesses are now heading in the right direction, with £7.6 million of business referrals being taken in the last year.
With its headquarters in Salford, Greater Manchester, BforB has over 200 business forums across the UK, hosting regular business breakfast meetings. In November, the company showed an impressive 69.6% increase on the previous month’s activity.
Mel Fisher, Co-Director at BforB, said: “This impressive growth can only mean that businesses are now back in full swing. This has definitely inspired my confidence not only that we are doing things right, but that the local community is supporting us.”
A recent customer satisfaction questionnaire has highlighted confidence in the organisation, reinforcing Mel’s assertion. The findings also reveal that 82.5% of businesses that joined BforB stayed for a minimum of a year, 76% are confident about its services and 93.6% consider the service to be good.
Colin Foster, who runs Universal Solutions for Business Limited, based in Hyde, Cheshire, has been a member of Tameside Business for Breakfast since 2003 and believes that being a member has boosted his business considerably.
He said: “Business for Breakfast has bought me income, new business and a huge number of contacts that I could never dreamt of getting in any other way.”
“Unlike other networking groups, referrals are about quality and not quantity. And the fact that the group meets fortnightly makes it much easier to fit in.”
Despite the economic downturn referrals are being passed at a considerable rate at BforB’s business networking forums. A key factor of the success of the organisation is that it will only allow one representative from each industry or profession.
BforB is looking forward to continued growth during 2011, as it aims to branch out into further industry areas through new franchisees.
