Blueknight Learning wins prestigious Hong Kong contract

Hong Kong police are being given a helping hand to catch drug-using drivers thanks to an innovative UK-based company.

Blueknight Learning, based in Northamptonshire, has won a five-year, six-figure contract with the Hong Kong Police Force to help them tackle a growing problem of drug-impaired drivers.

In the UK, apart from the police, Blueknight is the only firm to offer training in the special non-invasive technique to spot drug impairment. Now, these techniques are being taught all over the world to catch drivers on drugs.

The company was asked to help the Hong Kong Police Force in July last year, and following several visits to the former British colony, Blueknight has now signed the deal - which is one of the biggest for the firm.

In March three Blueknight trainers - Tony Hunt, Robbie Burns and Stephen Collier, attended the Hong Kong Police College and delivered their first tranche of courses to police officers.

Stephen Collier, Managing Director of Blueknight Learning, was delighted with his company’s contract win:
“Being chosen by the Hong Kong Police to provide this important road safety training, is a real feather in the cap for the company. We hope that it will lead to many more contracts of the same nature both here in the UK, and abroad.”
