Birmingham Adds Sole to the X Factor
A Birmingham-based design company has been approached by X Factor stylists, to design three pairs of exclusive trainers for the all-girl group, Little Mix.
Solecreator.com thought its glamorous contribution to the show had ended, after making Little Mix band member Jesy Nelson a pair of funky footwear at the end of last week, which were presented to the trainer-junkie live on TV at the weekend, but the show has come running back for more.
The trainers for Jesy were turned around in 24 hours and presented to Jesy live on ITV2’s spin-off show, the Xtra Factor, in front of almost a million viewers. The designed footwear was given to Jesy by chart-topper Olly Murs and TV presenter Caroline Flack.
The X Factor producers phoned the design company on Thursday November 24, to request trainers for the rest of the girls.
This upbeat news follows the negative press regarding Rihanna’s footwear on Sunday night, where graffiti-style swearwords were printed onto her boots. Rihanna was asked by X Factor producers to tone down her performance during the family show, after a controversial appearance the previous year caused outrage during the programme.
“Jesy looked really pleased with her one-off pair of trainers and we were absolutely thrilled to oblige. To find out that all the girls are interested in our footwear is even better!” said Adam Duffy from solecreator.com.
This notable request from the X Factor has added to the continuing achievements of solecreator.com, which has enjoyed a number of recent successes. Including the launch of its interactive ‘design-your-own footwear’ site, in collaboration with the likes of Vans, Selfridges, Converse, Motorola, Chevrolet and other famous names.
In addition, solecreator.com represents many skilled artists, giving them a shop window for their talents. The company also works with major stars ranging from JLS to Motorhead, offering official merchandise including footwear and iPhone cases.
