'Amazing' app for Milton Keynes
Visitors and residents in one of the country’s leading tourism destinations are set to benefit from an ‘amazing’ new iPhone application.
Destination Milton Keynes (DMK) have partnered with local firm, 4fx Design & Multimedia Ltd, to create ‘Amazing MK’, the new tourism and visitor information app for Milton Keynes.
The app is a fully searchable database of essential information for visitors and residents alike, providing contact details, photographs and detailed descriptions of local attractions, nightlife, shopping, eating out, events, accommodation, travel, businesses and other useful information for anyone who is out and about in Milton Keynes.
Carys Underwood, Marketing Manager at DMK said:
“Milton Keynes is once again at the forefront of digital technology. Only a few other cities in the UK have tourism-based iPhone applications available and now our city is one of them.”
“The application will allow visitors and residents to have all the information they need about MK in the palm of their hand”, she added.
Using the iPhone’s GPS location software, the app allows users to locate venues from their current position, in addition to enabling them to save their favourite destinations to return to on their next visit to the town.
‘Amazing MK’ has already proven to be a hit, with over 1000 downloads during the week following its launch. Its users’ reviews are equally impressive, giving the app an overall five-star user rating on the App Store.
The ‘Amazing MK’ app is available to download for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
