All The World’s A Stage with New Lighting Software
In today’s hi-tech age, people expect the best from their entertainment; and with high definition TV and digital music recording, standards in the entertainment industry are increasingly high.
Now, new computer software will make it easy for musicians, festivals and theatre productions to raise their game. Trace Lighting is set to unveil its new lighting control software system, LimeLIGHT Verse, at the prestigious Plasa11 trade show at Earl’s Court in London next week.
LimeLIGHT Verse will give any artist, event or production an easy-to-control, professional and impressive lighting set-up. Whether used for a live concert, music festival or a theatrical or corporate event, this new software will enhance the experience.
Director of Trace Lighting, Chris Morris, says: “We hope that the LimeLIGHT Verse will enable a broader range of customers to access the software. The feedback from existing users is that the program is quick, easy to use and very powerful.
“The launch of the Verse means that even productions with very tight budgets can try the software”, he added.
Simplicity is the key to LimeLIGHT Verse. In the past, one of the problems of a conventional computer lighting set-up has been the frustrating limitations of using a mouse or keyboard to control it.
Now, Trace Lighting has made it easier to control the computer software by using physical faders, rather than a mouse or keyboard, meaning that multiple faders can now be controlled via the computer.
Also, where the midi fader panels are motorised, it will move the faders on the controller to match the level in the software, which is a major improvement on some traditional desks.
The software also comes with various modes of operation to make it suitable for any occasion. ‘Busking mode’ is ideal for the individual artist, or live music events, whereas ‘Theatrical Mode’ gives more scope for complex productions.
The new LimeLIGHT Verse set-up will be demonstrated at the country’s biggest trade show at Earls Court next week. To find out more about the event, visit www.plasashow.com.
